The Pandemic Showed Us
that not everyone needs to be in the same room to get great work done. However, great work always requires high quality viewing, and standard desktop sharing apps just can’t rise to the task. FlowCaster works in conjunction with remote desktop and team communication tools to supply a high quality network signal from within your creative applications that can be sent securely and with minimal latency, to remote viewers anywhere.
FlowCaster’s direct plugins
and application support up to 12 bits per component of color, in YCbCr or RGB, along with up to 16 channels of 32 bit audio, multiple time code tracks and full CEA-608/708 and OP-47 closed captions. H.264, HEVC and JPEG-2000 codecs are supported and are optionally hardware accelerated. 128 and 256 bit end to end encryption are available, and best of all, no server interaction is required. You are completely in control.
While FlowCaster’s signals
can be played with free tools like VLC, for the lowest latency and highest quality, videoQC is available on Windows, Mac OS-X and Linux. Drastic also supplies a set of free Apple iOS, Google Android and Apple TV apps for receiving and monitoring FlowCaster outputs.
FlowCaster supports
a number of outputs, like UDP, RTP, RTMP, CDI, NDI, and WebRTC but mostly uses industry standard SRT and RIST protocols. This means that FlowCaster is compatible with tools from over 500 other companies and open source developers. The Haivision SRT Gateway can be used to route and duplicate signals. Also, there are hardware playback solutions from Haivision, AJA and Matrox, and other apps/playout software/multiviews from a wide range of companies.
