OpenMXF support

dt logo 1.5inchDrastic software supports the OpenMXF specification extension to the SMPTE MXF specification (SMPTE 377M). The advantage of OpenMXF is that while the file is still recording (open) you can read it in many popular servers and editing applications.

OpenMXF

Drastic software supports the OpenMXF specification extension to the SMPTE MXF specification (SMPTE 377M). This is a self contained, OP1a MXF file with video, closed captions, metadata and up to 16 channels of 24 bit audio. Specific Drastic software will be able to read and/or write this file type.

videoQC

For version 6 or greater, videoQC can read OpenMXF files with h264, XDCam or other essences.  The duration of the file will update in the videoQC interface as it grows.

Net-X-SDI

Net-X-SDI supports both reading and writing of OpenMXF with XDCam essence.

Net-X-Code Server

Net-X-Code Server version 6 and greater, can capture, play, transcode and encode OpenMXF.  For capture, XDCam (MPEG-2) and h.264 are supported.  For transcode and capture from SDI, XDCam formats are supported.
