Test Pattern Generator is a software test pattern generator. It provides over a hundred test patterns for signal path validation, AV Sync, Compliance, and Setup applications. Tones can be output along with the test pattern, as well as text overlay, closed captions, time code, frame counter, and more.

Test Pattern Generator provides a comprehensive software test pattern suite for setup and calibration of video production workflows. It is an attractive add-on to our DrasticScope signal analysis tools, but it can also be useful as a standalone test pattern generator for your production or facility.
Overlays
In addition to the video output, you can overlay a watermark, add text overlay, insert audio sync markers, add frame markers, overlay time code, and overlay a QC code which offers details about the setup and performance of the test pattern in transit.
Audio Output
Audio can be sent along with the test pattern. User configurable audio tones include a Sine Wave and a Square Wave. There are also white noise, pink noise, and channel pattern beep options. Test and calibrate your audio/video synchronization with audio sync tones and a sync frame marker. AV Sync markers can be aligned between all output channels. AV Sync patterns from other manufacturers, like Tektronix, Lynx Technik, Bridge Technologies, and Sarnoff are supported as well.
Closed Caption Ouput
A closed caption file can be loaded and will play over the test pattern, great for checking that the CC is valid and displays correctly. The starting time code location can also be set by the user.
Multiple Channel Support
Video setup is per-channel, so a multiple channel system can output various video sizes/frame rates, etc.
"Board" Types
Supported output types include ScopeDirect AvVr3D for UnReal Engine, AJA, Bluefish444, Blackmagic, and Matrox boards, NDI Network Digital Interface for local network targets, and ST-2110 (requires capable hardware and third party products).
Multi Views
Test Pattern Generator supports loading multiple patterns at the same time. Looking at a Test Pattern Generator multi view in DrasticScope, you can set the line select to view whichever one tests the parameters you need to confirm.
